From 2020 to 2022, Bearing Advisors provided advisory services to Axon Enterprise, Inc. (“Axon”) to assist its efforts to engage public officials in a discussion of public safety at the national level and identify what measures could be taken to create a safer and more transparent approach to police interactions with the public.
Bearing Advisor’s efforts primarily involved utilizing its knowledge, experience, and relationships with local government officials and national and state government associations to successfully assist Axon in creating discussion opportunities. By becoming a National League of Cities’ (NLC) Capstone Partner, Axon engaged with NLC leadership, member councils, federal advocacy committees, and constituency groups.
The Bearing Advisors’ team also provided Axon with feedback and recommendations on how it could strengthen its relationships with local elected leaders, state municipal league leaders, and the staff of NLC and state municipal leagues to establish the company as a thought leader and resource for cities in the area of public safety technology.
